Based in Pleasanton, CA, Zurado develops and manufacturers wireless information systems for the consumer, business, and entertainment markets. Our mission is to produce simple affordable systems that enable people to get on-demand information about things in their immediate surroundings. Zurado is all about proximity-based information systems -- about getting information to people when they want it, where they want it.

Zurado’s founder and leader is Todd Marques, who is a psychologist by training. After receiving a B.S. from the University of California, Davis, he earned an M.A. in Industrial /Organizational Psychology and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology, both from Rice University.

Todd spent 15 years in research and development at AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, where he was involved in human performance engineering, usability analysis, the design and development of decision support systems, and led pioneering work in the application of artificial intelligence concepts to the automated diagnosis and correction of telecommunications problems.

Since returning to California Todd has held senior engineering management positions in a variety of information and communication technology companies in Silicon Valley that have ranged in size from early-stage startup to Fortune 500.

Throughout his career Todd has drawn on his combined knowledge of human behavior and computing to develop high tech systems that strike the right balance of flexibility, ease of use, and performance. That mindset is shared by the entire Zurado team and is evident in every product we produce.
