PXT® Portal software enables your smartphone to function just like a PXT® Transponder. It's still a phone, but now it's a transponder too!

Content can be completely personal, all business, or anywhere in between. What you communicate is entirely up to you. And you always communicate for free. As with all PXT® products, there are NO monthly service fees or usage charges of any kind.

With PXT® Portal software on your phone you can almost think of yourself as a walking website.

Communicate wherever you go.  Anyone within 30ft equipped with PXT® Portal software can access your content - that is if you allow them to access your content. You can easily create access control lists that determine who can and cannot access your portal.  If you don't care - and we expect that most portal owners will not care - just leave things alone and the content will be available to all probes within a 30ft radius.

	Jay's site is visible to any Probe user within 30ft. It shows up like any of the fixed-position Transponders on Main Street. Jay created a bicycle icon to reflect his passion for mountain biking. Interested Probe users - information consumers - can hit his site and find out about his biking, school activities, his musical tastes, and even get his resume and contact information. Jay will not always be 30ft away. Any content viewed with the Probe can be saved for future reference.
Now look at things from Jay's perspective - that is from the perspective of the information supplier. Check out the actual PXT® Portal UI below and see what Jay can tell about who is hitting his site and the information that is being requested:
	Total hit count is maintained as well as the time and date associated with each hit. Universally unique Probe ID of the requestor is shown along with specifically what information was requested. An optional audible alert sounds whenever the site is hit. With a single tap of the menu you can instantly Block or Unblock access by a specific consumer, and there are easy controls for managing the access control list as a whole.

Just as with the PXT® Transponder you create the content using ordinary Windows tools such as Wordpad and Paint on any USB-equipped computer running Windows XP or Windows Vista.  There are no special authoring tools required. There are a few rules about what you can and cannot do and all of this is explained in the user guide that accompanies the software download.
