INTRODUCTION
------------
PXT Probe is a key component of PXT communication technology. PXT Probe is software for
your smartphone that is designed to locate and access PXT information sources within a range
of about 30ft, or 10 meters. PXT Probe communicates with two information sources:
PXT Transponder and PXT Portal.
This version of PXT Probe is compatible with PXT Transponder version 1.00.3 or higher and
PXT Portal version 1.00.P26B or higher.
PXT Probe should be installed on a smartphone/PDA device running the Windows Mobile operating
system, versions 2003 SE, 5, or 6. Please do not try to install PXT Probe on any other platform.
It will not work.

PXT Portal delivers content, on-demand to users of the PXT Probe smartphone software.
This version of PXT Portal is compatible with PXT Probe version 1.00.76B or higher.
PXT Portal should be installed on a smartphone/PDA device running the Windows Mobile
operating system, versions 2003 SE, 5, or 6. Please do not try to install PXT Portal
on any other platform. It will not work.

CAVEATS / KNOWN PROBLEMS
------------------------
Some Mobile 5 users running co-resident PXT Probe and PXT Portal applications
concurrently have seen the following problem: if PXT Portal is stopped while PXT Probe
is running it cannot be restarted without first stopping PXT Probe. Fortunately it is
seldom necessary to stop PXT Portal, and users are encouraged to avoid stopping and
restarting the application even when updating, previewing, and revising information
content. All PXT Portal content changes as well as security administration changes can
be made on-the-fly without restarting the application.
